Truly, it is in darkness that one finds the light, so when we are in sorrow, then this light is nearest of all to us.
~Meister Eckhart

Truly love heals
when sorrow comes
just a still small voice
of a beloved
is enough to assuage
the wound out of life's hurts

Love is the light
in the sheer darkness
of our world, of our homes
of our tired and weary hearts
at times, a lingering one
at times, just a short visit

Love is the joy
in the midst of sorrow
brokenness or emptiness
its a tickle that takes out
the pricks of those darts
in the way we live our lives

Love is the balance
the very core of peace
in the very midst
of life's adversities
that daily beset us
and discourage us
in our seeking for beauty

Love is the pure contemplation
of a quiet and listening heart
beneath the shadow of yesterday
of the clouds of tomorrow
as long as I am in love today
I will find a peaceful night
to dream of you once again

I do love your poetry. This poem speaks such truth. Often when sorrow, darkness come we can forget about that light of love that is shining deep within us. This poem reminds me that love is never lost even in my darkest moments. Thanks my dear friend!
